Annand Ramdin ‘Victor’

Annand Victor Ramdin aka Victor is a professional poker player who was born in Guyana in the Caribbean Region. Now living in the city of Bronx, Victor found his calling for poker by playing with friends in a bar. Professionally an investor in real estate and an owner of several shops in New York, it doesn’t took much time for Victor to get hooked to this adrenaline filled game and make a profession out of it.
It was in 2003 when Victor played in his major tournament World Series Main event. He finished in 29th in his first major tournament taking home an insignificant amount of $35,000. It was this time he became assured of playing poker professionally full time. In the same year, he joined $10,000 main event of Showdown at the Sands festival and was successful in taking home over $200,000 by finishing 3rd. His first big victory came in 2004 when he joined World Poker Tournament Foxwoods Poker Classic and won $1,331,889 coming first beating 431 players.
Few days after his big win, he travelled to Vegas to join World Poker Tournament $25,000 Championship event. He came 11th in the event winning $146,460. In later years, Victor had a good run on the poker tables by being 9th in the $1500 Limit Hold’em Shootout event at WSOP 2007 and 25th in PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) Main Event 2008. He was more successful in the 2011 edition of PCA by winning a side event for $49,000 other than his winnings from Main Event. His other achievement in 2011 includes his winnings of $500,000 from The Big Event Main Event in Los Angeles.
Victor is currenty residing in Toronto, Canada and plays online poker at PokerStars under the name VictorRamdin. He plays some of the biggest tournaments in PokerStars and has won $109 rebuy event in 2013. Victor donates most of his winnings on Guyana Watch, a medical outreach program targeting children in Guyana.
