How to Play Seven Card Stud Hi/lo
As the game starts, each players ante a basic amount which is decided before the game. Each player is dealt three cards where two hole cards are hidden and once card is placed face up. The player who has the lowest face up hard begins the game. The players have to bet another basic or nominal amount or raise. This goes on till the betting amount is matched by all the players.
Once the bet amount is matched, players receive another face up card. This part of the game is called as Fourth Street. Here, the player who has the highest exposed card has to act first. Players begin to bet another and once the betting is matched, the next round of action begins.
Now, the Fifth Street begins where all the players get another exposed card. Just like the Fourth Street, the player with the highest exposed card begins the betting. After the round of betting, the Sixth Street starts where the round of betting remains the same as previous streets.
The last round is called as the Seventh Street where each player receives a card face-down and the players know what cards they are dealt. The player whose exposed cards have the highest value acts first and the betting rounds are matched for the showdown.
During the showdown, the player with the best hand of five cards wins half of the pot. And the player with the best hand for low takes the remaining pot. If no one has the best low hand, the player with high takes the entire pot.
